I talked with a spokesman from the Kalispell Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) in early February, and decided to donate a pup for their auction. On the 28th of February we took Storm Mountain Heil Maximus, our newest male Storm Mountain's Double Dealin' Ace of Spades and a male and female pup ( the one auctioned) from Maximus and Daisy's newest litter to the banquet.
We all had a great time. The dogs and pups enjoyed all the attention. Maximus and Ace got spoiled when the West Coast Hotel's staff offered them prime rib scraps. We It was a successful auction Our female pup sold at auction for $25 dollars higher than any pup had sold for at any their auctions. We are glad to support sportsmen involved conservation groups like the NWTF.
The NWTF gave us a table that we were able to set up with pedigrees, photos of our adult labs, business cards, and flyers for our current litters and other information on our kennels.
During the live auction the NWTF let me speak to the banquet guest about our pups and our breeding program.
